The event took place at the POLITEHNICA Conference Center, 2nd floor, hall 2.2 on the 8th and 9th of June 2017 and included oral and poster presentations and a visit in the facilities of Advanced Polymeric Materials Group, within the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
At the conference participated researchers from Norway (University of Bergen), Italy (University of Genoa) and Romania (University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, The National Institute for Research & Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry, The National Institute for Laser, Plasma & Radiation Physics, “Ilie Murgulescu” Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Romanian Academy, Colentina Clinical Hospital). Experienced researchers from institutes and academia, clinicians, junior researchers and students participated at the event.
All participants received a folder enclosing a note book, a pen, the conference program, a USB stick containing the book of abstracts of the papers presented during the conference, a participation diploma and an evaluation form for the event. The materials, including the posters and roll-up, showed the EEA logo and the EEA financing was acknowledged by displaying the phrase: “Project realized through the Program Research within Priority Sectors financed by EEA grants”.
In the first oral session the project coordinator presented the project, emphasizing its aim, the planned activities and the obtained results. Subsequently, the three young researchers involved in the project presented detailed reports regarding the result registered during the training visits at which they participated. All four presentations acknowledged the financing from the EEA grants.
The Conference was evaluated positively by all participants, registering the highest score for the chosen scientific topics, organization and overall experience. The events also represented a good occasion for the participants to establish new contacts and to find out more information about the EEA grants from the project coordinator.
