Investigation of Cellular Behavior

The Training Visit regarding the Investigation of the cellular behavior took place between the 13th and the 17th of March in the laboratories of the Tissue Engineering Research Group. Dr. Andrada Serafim and Ms. Cristina Chirov were the Romanian specialists who better their knowledge regarding the preparation of samples for cellular tests, performing and interpretation of such investigations. The team from the University of Bergen was comprised of Dr. Ahmad Rashed and Dr. Salwa Suliman, who guided Dr. Serafim and Ms. Chircov through relevant tasks regarding the envisaged activities.

The training debuted with an introductory course on cellular tests, followed by a thorough presentation of the facilities and the rules that are to be followed when working in sterile conditions. A work plan regarding subsequent experiments was established. Considering the short period of time of the training, the performed work represents only preliminary tests and their details will not be presented here. Given the encouraging results further tests will be conducted, and it is expected that the newly formed team will jointly elaborate a scientific paper that would reflects the beginning of their collaboration.
